My name is Tapati and I'm happy to be allowed to join the red tent. I am often saying to my women friends that we need to bring back the menstrual hut!
I've been involved in Goddess worship since 1991 as a solitary, although I've occasionally attended UU services and joined in public rituals or rituals with friends. In addition to the pagan books most people encounter over the years I also enjoy books from other traditions and earlier in my life I was a member of the Hare Krsna movement. I definitely retain a bit of Eastern influence and outlook in my pagan path.
In addition to my focus on my spiritual life I am very concerned about the direction our country is going these days and trying to do what I can to push it back to a better course. That is obviously going to require much patience, definitely a quality I need to work on as well.
I've been at livejournal a short while now and decided to start looking around and meet some like minded people. I was impressed with the mood of this community immediately.
I look forward to getting to know you all better.
So this full moon has been full of inspired singing and chanting of nothing I've ever heard before. The energy of it felt really great.
Life seems to be giving me a lot of movement and change. I feel the urges of being a woman - dancing, singing, creating.
The moon was beautiful here last night, and while I didn't have a tent night, I spent it with good energy and love. She is so inspiring...her very nature says change, and so I am allowing it.
Love to everyone in the tent, and welcome to our new old friend.
So last night was the Full Harvest Moon. I hope everyone got to enjoy Her light and love in a special way. Does anyone have any dreams or experiences to share?
My Full Harvest Moon was a great day of reflection, "coincidence", and tides pulling together at just the right moment. Life is blessed. Thought I'd share my experiences here as well as on my journal. Let me preface this by saying that I am a horsewoman, have been my whole life, and I've recently graduated college with the intent of becoming a teacher. Lately career choices and decissions have been my focus, because I know I must do something that fits into the ultimate plan the Universe/Goddess/God/Divine/Self has in store for me.( Read more...Collapse )
I just wanted to introduce myself and say thank you for approving my request to join this community. It is very difficult for me to meet other women who understand my personal spiritual path. I do hope to contribute to this community, as much as I take from it. I a 24 y/o woman from Pennsylvania, recently handfasted. I am Pagan/Ecofeminist/Goddess Worshiper and my husband is Buddhist. We also attend a UU church were we have a Pagan group that has rituals at the Eight Pagan Wheel Holidays. I have also started a group with three female friends of mine, called Spirals and Bridges. We are still attemping to decide where our focus will lie, but we are definitely educational, spiritual, supportive, familial and ritual based, hopefully someday extending to outreach in the community. Looking forward to hearing about all your experiences with the Goddess and her many forms.
For Annie, since my email keeps fucking up, and for anyone who gets sore throats:
use organic apple juice, boil or heat with a wee clove of garlic in it, and add cinamon, cayenne, and lemon (or lime) juice to taste. Then drop in a half dropper full of echinacea extract and a half dropper full of oregano extract, and you've got an elixer. excellent idea if you're going to be around kids a lot.

in response to the Pluto question...i have no idea. But here's something i found fascinating, or scarry, or indicative of my rampant paranoia.
G.W. Bush's birthday: 07/06/1946/07:26 am.
count the fourth digits in there and you get 666. hmmm...
So in case you didn't know how to post in a community, all you do is click the pencil icon (right next to the add friend icon on the User Info page) and post whatever you want.
here is a link to find out your Mayan birthday, that I find helpful.
www.magdalene.org is a great place to start if you're new to the Magdalene mysteries. There are many, many versions of the Jesus story--you don't have to believe that the Bible is the only one in order to be a Christian, and you don't have to be Christian to consider the Jesus story a relevant metaphor to enhance your spirituality. I urge everyone to read and explore the alternatives as they can greatly aid the Quest. But you probably know that.
